LEFT FOOT THROTTLE PEDALS ON VW`s, AUDI`S & MINI COOPER`s

Some of the new VW, Audi & Mini Cooper (not Mini One) vehicles (also Porsche) have the `total` electronic accelerator pedal.

This pedal comes out of the floor (no pedal arm), and cannot be removed. We have devised an ingenious method of having the left hand side `Cowal` pedal flipped up/down, and a folding foot guard over the right side pedal.

The first pictures show a recent Porsche 911 with a totally electronic floor throttle, with a fold-over and fold-back guard on the right hand side pedal. This can be used as a foot rest for the right leg, and the left side pedal is a flip-up and down pedal (as in our conventional twin flip-ups).

The third picture shows the same system on a VW Touran. We deviced another method of attaching the foot guard, and it is bolted onto a device above the pedal (we do not bolt through floor of car). The guard again can be used as a foot rest for the right foot, and the left pedal is flipped up and down as usual.

The only down side of this system, is that the guard will have to be bolted on and off when different drivers drive the car. We have recently completed a VW Golf using the fold over method (as with the Porsche).

We can now also offer an alternative to the flipped-up pedals, if preferred. The Crossover pedal system gives you two organ pedals either side of the brake pedal. When the ignition is turned on, you choose which pedal you wish to use, and simply SWITCH IT ON. Only one pedal is then workable.
