DRIVE FROM WHEELCHAIR CONVERSIONS

For some time now Cowal have been involved in Motability Drive from Wheelchair conversion work. Each project is undertaken as a bespoke conversion to suit the very different needs of the individual driver.

We undertake work according to the initial assessment report recieved from Motability and then, following individual fittings with each driver here at Cowal, we tailor the equipment to suit.
Additional work is often required to enable each driver to feel comfortable, confident and able to drive their vehicle and this work is assessed by Stuart Walters at the initial and any subseqent in-car customer fittings.

The type of work undertaken includes: EZ Lock systems & wheelchair undercarriage modifications to enable each wheelchair to board and secure safety into the vehicle and EZ Lok system. Switch panels for secondary controls, ignition/start, drop-in key box, electric gearshift, electric handbrake, extended seat belt fittings, extending steering columns & pedals, mirrors, fire extinguishers, power brake servos, lightened power steering, electric headrests, w/c occupant restraints, tracking, reversing aids etc etc.
