| Simple
and safe to use Pushing the switch to the 'down' position opens the rack cover to a maximum of 10" and the mechanical arm lowers the wheelchair to the ground alongside the open door. The wheelchair does not protrude beyond the open door and there is no risk of damage to the car. The wheelchair is freed from the mechanical arm by pressing the release lever. Pushing the switch to the 'up' position raises the mechanical arm and closes the rack cover. Attaching the wheelchair to the mechanical arm and raising it to the rack is equally simple. |
| More details - THE FRAME AND MECHANICAL ARM are of touch, stainless steel. THE WHEELCHAIR is stored under the fibreglass cover and away from the roof of the car and is kept dry in all weathers. THE MOTOR, insulated against water, is produced by a leading American manufacturer to meet rigorous U.S. Navy standards. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, powered by the car battery, uses less power than parking lights. ROOF ATTACHMENT is effected by special rustproof clips which do not damage the car roof. A ONE YEAR WARRANTY may be extended on expiry by a special insurance cover and the frame and mechanical arm are guaranteed against rust for life. MAINTENANCE entails lubrication at six months intervals (drive chair only), as all other parts are constructed from stainless steel. |
| Officially
approved The Cowal GZ-91 has met the rigorous standards of European Government Rehabilitation Departmenbts and been purchased by them for the past twenty years, as well as by commercial companies and organisations and several British organisations for the disabled. |
