1. All main components are black nylon coated to give a warm feel to the
operating fingers. Control lever is shaped to conform to the radius of the
steering wheel, (enabling steering while operating the accelerator by same
hand on suitable roads). 2. The single under wheel combined lever to brake and accelerator makes the vehicle very simple to drive in all conditions of traffic. The lever is simply lifted up towards steering wheel rim to accelerate and pushed away to brake. 3. The pivot point is self-lubricating phosphor bronze oilite bushing. Note: there are NO cables employed in the functioning of the controls, the normal functions of the foot pedals are retained. 4. For greater ease and freedom from stress (remember a comfortable and confident driver is a more competent driver), the following options are available to Cowal hand controls:- * Vibration damper * Indicator switch, horn, dip or wash/wipe switch * Instructor's extension bar * Fold-up accelerator and brake pedals (for greater foot room, but still retaining the facility for normal driving). |
