ROOFTOP WHEELCHAIR STOWAGE SYSTEMS
Wheelchair stowage solutions fitted by Cowal Mobility include the Cowal GZ91, Cowal Wymo, Braun Chairtopper, Autochair and Autoadapt Roof Spider. These systems all have their differences and we can best advise you on the most suitable for your needs.
The Cowal GZ91 has been a popular stowage system for over 20 years. Manufactured from stainless steel and fibre-glass, some of our GZ91 owners have found that their GZ91 has outlived their car. Sitting low onto the car roof, the GZ91 allows most owners to drive into their garage and unload their wheelchair, and because the wheelchair is lowered by a stainless steel arm, the GZ91 can be used on steep slopes and in high winds with little guidance from the operator. The lid only raises slightly to allow the wheelchair to slide out from under it, and the lid can be sprayed to match the car colour. Its powerful motor and robust build quality means the GZ91 will pick up a wheelchair fitted with power wheels with ease.
The Cowal Wymo is a wheelchair stowage system which is fitted directly onto a roof rack and plugs into your vehicles cigarette lighter. It does not have a box to protect the wheelchair but is so versatile and easy to use, our customers swear by it. Can store a folding or fixed frame wheelchair and is a very affordable rooftop wheelchair stowage system. Comes with water resistant cover.
IN-CAR WHEELCHAIR STOWAGE SYSTEMS
We have been fitting the Robot 200 for some years now and the revolutionary design has been very successful. Suitable for estate vehicles and smaller MPV's, the Robot 200 will store a folding manual wheelchair as well as a rigid framed wheelchair. The Robot 200 is capable of lifting a wheelchair fitted with power wheels. By the touch of a switch, the rear hatch or boot lid opens and the wheelchair is brought round to the users side by the Robots arm. The rear hatch or boot lid is then closed once the Robot arm is back in its place.

We also install the Abiloader in-car system which works in a very similar way but is more suited to MPV's and small vans.
